Treatment for constipation

What treatment do you suggest for constipation?

I'm usually constipated. I'm also diabetic and take insulin (Humulin). What treatment would you suggest?Constipation can be bothersome and uncomfortable, and it can lead to other gastrointestinal complications. Constipation is defined as having fewer than three bowel movements per week and stool can be small, hard, and dry. Drinking water, exercise, eating high-fiber foods, and eating less fatty foods are all healthy habits that help improve symptoms of constipation. There are over-the-counter laxatives available for the occasional treatment of constipation, only when needed; laxatives shouldn't be used on a regular basis with talking to a doctor first. A focus on diet and lifestyle changes can, in most cases, resolve symptoms of constipation. Contact your doctor with any worsening or bothersome symptoms.
